Nash: Harden has 'gap to make up,' not ready to return

Brooklyn Nets head coach Steve Nash said Sunday that James Harden still has a "gap to make up" as the star guard continues rehabbing from hamstring tightness, according to ESPN's Malika Andrews.

Nash noted Harden has progressed to participating in on-court work, including shooting drills, as he works his way back to the floor.

Harden began experiencing tightness in the opening minute of Game 1 of his team's second-round series against the Milwaukee Bucks. He hasn't played since.

Brooklyn's other stars have stepped up in the 31-year-old's absence. Kevin Durant is averaging 30.3 points through the series' first three games, while Kyrie Irving is posting 23 points per contest.

The Nets hold a 2-1 series lead over the Bucks ahead of Game 4 on Sunday.
