Luka Doncic knows his first major NBA payday is on the horizon.

When asked whether he'll sign a five-year supermax contract extension this summer to lock in a long-term future with the Dallas Mavericks, the Slovenian superstar left little doubt about his intentions.

"I think you know the answer," a smiling Doncic told reporters, including ESPN's Tim MacMahon, during his season-ending media availability Monday.

Doncic, 22, is positioned to become the first player to sign a rookie extension worth upwards of $200 million ($201.5M), according to ESPN's Bobby Marks.

The third-year guard, who confirmed he'll play for Slovenia to try to help the team clinch a spot in the Tokyo Olympics, is coming off a fantastic season for the Mavericks that saw him average 27.7 points, 8.6 assists, and eight rebounds in 66 games.

Doncic took his game to another level in Dallas' first-round series loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, averaging an eye-popping 35.7 points, 10.3 assists, and 7.9 rebounds across seven games.
