Jazz guard Clarkson beats Ingles, Rose for Sixth Man of the Year

Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson was named the Sixth Man of the Year for the 2020-21 season on Monday, receiving the trophy from teammate and second-place finisher Joe Ingles.

Clarkson becomes the first Jazz player to win the award. He averaged 18.4 points, four rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 68 appearances - all but one of them coming off the bench. No player scored more points per game while making fewer starts.

The 28-year-old received 65 first-place votes to Ingles' 34 from a panel of 100 media members.

New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose was the only other player to receive a first-place vote. The 2011 league MVP placed third in the balloting.
