Bradley Beal will miss the Washington Wizards' next two games - both on the road against the Atlanta Hawks - after an MRI revealed he suffered a left hamstring strain in Sunday's win over the Indiana Pacers, the team announced Monday.

The star shooting guard will be re-evaluated Friday.

Beal currently ranks as the league's second-leading scorer with 31.4 points per game, trailing only Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry (31.9). The 27-year-old old has also chipped in 4.7 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.2 steals per game, with an effective field-goal rate of 53.5%.

With four games left, Washington is firmly entrenched in the Eastern Conference's play-in tournament berths. After winning 15 of their past 19 games to improve to 32-36 (.471), the surging Wizards are highly likely to finish no higher than eighth in the conference and no lower than 10th.
