An MRI of Sacramento Kings rookie Tyrese Haliburton's left knee revealed no ligament damage, but the guard's injury is expected to keep him sidelined for the remainder of the season, the team announced Tuesday.

Haliburton exited Sunday's win over the Dallas Mavericks in the third quarter after appearing to hyperextend his left leg while falling to the floor. He needed help returning to the locker room.

The Iowa State product has averaged 13 points, 5.3 assists, three rebounds, and 1.3 steals in just over 30 minutes per game. His nearly 41% shooting on 3-pointers ranks 19th in the league among players who've averaged at least five threes, per Stathead.

Sacramento (28-37) has seven games remaining on its schedule.
