NBA Thursday player props: Fade Bradley Beal, bet Patrick Williams

Russell Westbrook went over his point total, Brook Lopez was limited from beyond the arc, and Royce O'Neale's prop was an easy winner for a 3-1 Wednesday.

We're 7-5 heading into Thursday, with another seven games on tap tonight. Here are the three best bets on the board.

Bradley Beal under 2.5 made threes

Betting Beal under 1.5 made threes Monday when the Washington Wizards flirted with around 200 points was nauseating, but it shipped nonetheless. Bettors should play it again Thursday.

For as fast as they run on offense (No. 1 in pace) and how poor they are defensively (No. 30 in points allowed), you'd think the Wizards would live and die by the three. But it's actually quite the opposite.

Washington shoots triples at a league-low 25.5% rate, and it's been even more gun-shy from the perimeter lately.

3-point frequency over the last 7 (bottom-5 teams)

Team 3-Point Rate
Wizards 22.4%
Spurs 27.2%
Magic 30.5%
Pelicans 31.6%
Pacers 33.7%

Beal hasn't put up more than six attempts from beyond the arc in 11 straight and the Toronto Raptors hold small forwards to the sixth-lowest shooting percentage in basketball.

Over bettors need Beal to sink three, and that might be a tall task for an offense collectively averaging fewer than eight made 3-pointers across the last seven.

Sounds like an easy call to me.

Patrick Williams over 1.5 assists

Williams is averaging only 1.4 assists this season but has the potential to shatter this number in the first quarter.

The Chicago Bulls are one of the best teams at creating buckets off dimes. They rank No. 4 in the NBA in assists per made field goal (0.636) and No. 7 in total assists per game (26.8).

The Charlotte Hornets, meanwhile, are second-last in assists allowed per made field goal (0.662) and dead last in total dimes given up per contest (27.2). Small forwards, in particular, have feasted against Charlotte during the last 15, averaging a league-high 5.4 assists.

Williams has dished out multiple dimes in seven of the last 10 and should make quick work of this number tonight.

Jeff Green under 17.5 points + rebounds + assists

This is a solid spot to fade Green. The Dallas Mavericks may struggle to contain the Brooklyn Nets' offense as a whole, but their defense is top four in the NBA in rebounds, assists, and 3-pointers allowed per game to power forwards during the last 15.

Green's been limited to less than 17 combined points, rebounds, and assists in back-to-back games after crushing the number in five straight. He's averaging less than seven attempts from the floor in his last four games and recording just a 15.1% usage rate this season.
