NBA Tuesday player props: Curry keeps cooking vs. Mavericks

We went 1-3 on our player props on Monday after a scintillating 15-8 record last week. Here are our favorite plays on a six-game Tuesday slate:

Jaylen Brown over 26.5 points

No defense has played worse recently than the Thunder's, which is allowing a league-worst 117.9 points per 100 possessions since losing star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on March 24.

He's out once again in Tuesday's matchup with the Celtics, who will likely be without Jayson Tatum or Kemba Walker. That leaves the pressure on Brown to pick up the slack as lead scorer, which he's equipped to do. He scored 27 points the last time Tatum was out on March 22, and averaged 29.4 points during Tatum's five-game hiatus in mid-January.

Stephen Curry over 45.5 points + rebounds + assists

Curry has been pushing for his third MVP trophy with a late-season surge, during which he's averaged 37.6 points, 4.6 assists, and 6.4 rebounds since returning from injury on March 29.

The Warriors star has surpassed this prop total in six of his last nine games and came within four points in two of those other three games. Now he faces a Mavericks defense that ranks below the league average even without injuries, especially against opposing backcourt stars.

Kevin Porter over 1.5 made threes

Porter is expected to return to the Rockets' lineup on Tuesday after clearing health and safety protocols, and it couldn't come at a better time against a Timberwolves defense ripe for betting against.

Since the start of April, no team has allowed more opposing 3-pointers made than Minnesota, which is ceding 16.2 threes per game on a league-worst 41.9%. The Timberwolves also rank second-to-last in threes allowed to opposing shooting guards (4.17) over the last month.

Porter has hit at least two triples in six of his last eight games and could be asked to do more in his return with John Wall sidelined. This is an easy buy-low on a player with the talent to capitalize.
