NBA easing restrictions on overseas scouting for vaccinated staff

The NBA will begin allowing team staff who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to travel internationally, according to a memo obtained by ESPN's Jonathan Givony.

The league established a season-long ban on international scouting for United States-based personnel in October. The NBA will lift restrictions for those who are either 14 days removed from their second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or seven days removed from receiving the single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Staff must continue to observe both local government and NBA health and safety regulations.

The 2021 NBA draft is slated for July 29.
