Russell Westbrook set an NBA record for the most triple-doubles in a month Monday, posting his 12th in April. When asked if people are taking his triple-doubles for granted, the Washington Wizards star said those who overlook his statistical accomplishments are missing out.

"I honestly believe there is no player like myself. If people want to take it for granted, sorry for them," Westbrook said following an overtime loss to the San Antonio Spurs. "I'm pretty sure if everybody could do it, they would do it."

Westbrook also emphasized his style of play reflects a desire to do whatever the Wizards - who are 10-5 this month - require to win.

"I honestly make sure I impact the game in many ways every night. Defending, rebounding, passing, assisting, whatever it is that my team needs from me to be able to win," Westbrook continued.

He added: "I don't care what nobody thinks about it."

With 11 games remaining this season, the 2017 MVP only needs six more triple-doubles to tie Hall of Fame guard Oscar Robertson for the most in league history (181).

Westbrook, who's posting 21.8 points, 11 assists, and 11 rebounds per game across 54 appearances this campaign, is on pace to average a triple-double for the fourth time in his career.
