Isaiah Thomas wearing No. 24 to honor Kobe

New Orleans Pelicans point guard Isaiah Thomas will wear No. 24 to honor the late Kobe Bryant.

Thomas recently signed a 10-day contract with the Pelicans. The two-time All-Star has been open about his admiration for Bryant in the past, saying he started playing basketball because of the Los Angeles Lakers legend.

"I mean, he's the greatest of all time, in life and in basketball. That's how much I looked up to him," Thomas told The Washington Post's Candace Buckner the day after Bryant's death last year.

The veteran has worn the Nos. 0, 2, 3, 4, and 22 at various points of his 10-year career.
