Brooklyn Nets forward Blake Griffin has been upgraded to probable on the team's injury report ahead of Sunday's game versus the Washington Wizards, likely setting up the six-time All-Star's debut.
Griffin has been out of action for injury management on his left knee since signing with the Nets earlier this month as a free agent.
Prior to reaching a buyout agreement with the Detroit Pistons, Griffin averaged 12.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists across 20 appearances this season.
Dating back to the start of the 2019-20 season, the 32-year-old big man has shot 35.8% from the floor - including 28.1% on threes - and 75% from the free-throw line while battling a number of injuries.
The Nets haven't suffered much in Griffin's and Kevin Durant's absence. With Kyrie Irving and fellow in-season acquisition James Harden leading the charge over the past month, Brooklyn has soared to a 28-14 record, just one game back in the loss column from the Eastern Conference-leading Philadelphia 76ers.
