Doncic rookie card sells for record $4.6M
A one-of-a-kind Luka Doncic rookie trading card set a new record over the weekend after selling for $4.6 million in a private sale.
The autographed 2018-19 National Treasures Logoman card is now the most expensive basketball card ever sold and the second-most expensive sports card behind a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle that fetched $5.2 million, according to Action Network's Darren Rovell.
At $4.6M, that's a new record for the highest price that's ever been paid for a basketball card.

The card was purchased by collector Nick Fiorello on Sunday, which also happened to be Doncic's 22nd birthday. Fellow collector Bolillo Lajan San announced the sale on Instagram.
Doncic is averaging 28.5 points, nine assists, and 8.4 rebounds in 35.1 minutes per game this season.
