The Rising Stars rosters will be named on March 3 even though this year's condensed All-Star Weekend will not allow the game to be played, the NBA announced Thursday.

Once again, each squad will be comprised of 10 first- and second-year players representing a U.S. Team and World Team. Participants will be determined by the league's assistant coaches, with each staff contributing one ballot.

Of those announced as participants in the All-Star Game, the New Orleans Pelicans' Zion Williamson is the only player still in his first two seasons.

Due to health and safety protocols, the league's traditional Saturday night competitions have been integrated into Sunday's main event. The Three-Point Contest and Skills Challenge will take place before the March 7 All-Star Game, and the Slam Dunk contest will follow at halftime.
