NBA Friday player props: A get-right game for Booker

Pascal Siakam dished out five assists, Bam Adebayo had no trouble surpassing his points, rebounds, and assists total, and we ripped off our third straight winning day on NBA player props Thursday.

On the heels of a three-game slate, the board finally opens up again Friday. Here are our best picks to get us rolling into the weekend.

Zach LaVine under 28.5 points.

LaVine gave us a boost Wednesday, as his 37 points easily cashed his total of 28.5. The Chicago Bulls guard is filling the bucket at a torrid pace this season, including from beyond the arc.

LaVine, who's No. 11 in the NBA in true shooting percentage, is knocking down a career-high 43.7% of his attempts from three. He's been feeling it of late, converting 21 of his last 36 (58.3%) over four outings. However, three of those games came against defenses that rank in the bottom nine of opponent 3-point percentage allowed. The Philadelphia 76ers are just No. 17 in that department, but LaVine has to slow down at some point.

Look for Ben Simmons - who ranks No. 1 in defensive box plus/minus - and the 76ers backcourt to keep the Bulls star in check.

Delon Wright over 23.5 points+rebounds+assists

It doesn't make sense on the surface to bet the over on a player who logged double-digit points just three times in his first 14 games this year, but I love Wright here.

The Detroit Pistons guard's averaging 16.8 points over his last six starts, including three 22-point performances. Wright's playing close to 37 minutes per game in his last five and has a chance to stay hot Friday when he's matched up against Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant, who's the worst defender in basketball.

Don't overlook this one.

Devin Booker over 2.5 made threes and 26.5 points

Booker had an off night Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets. He went just 9-of-20 from the field and missed the mark on all four of his 3-point attempts. Friday should serve as a nice get-right spot versus the New Orleans Pelicans.

Granted, Booker has quietly struggled against this defense lately. He posted a season-low eight points against the Pelicans on Dec. 29 and went 0-for-4 from deep against them on Feb. 3.

Overall, Booker is just 2-of-11 from three in his last two games against New Orleans, but this unit's allowing the most triples per game (4.24) to shooting guards this season. He has to turn it around at some point.

Fred VanVleet under 3.5 threes

VanVleet's a tough fade, but he's in a difficult spot here on the second game of a back-to-back. The Minnesota Timberwolves' defense leaves a lot to be desired, but its 2.41 threes allowed per game to shooting guards are the fewest in the NBA. This is plenty of cushion to play the under.
