Los Angeles Lakers big man Anthony Davis suffered a right Achilles strain Sunday against the Denver Nuggets and will receive an MRI on Monday, the team announced.
Davis exited the game during the second quarter after bumping legs with Nuggets center Nikola Jokic. Denver went on to a 122-105 victory, snapping Los Angeles' seven-game winning streak.
Prior to Friday's win over the Memphis Grizzlies, the 27-year-old had missed the Lakers' previous two contests with right Achilles tendonosis.
Davis entered Sunday averaging 22.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.9 blocks, and 1.4 steals in just under 34 minutes per night.
