NBA Tuesday player props: Points go through Zion Williamson

Tuesday's six-game NBA slate packs a nice punch. Bettors get a couple star-studded non-conference clashes, a battle between the Raptors and Bucks, and a few other potential track meets.

Here, we'll dive into our favorite player props for the evening.

Kyle Anderson over 1.5 made threes

Anderson never really established himself as a shooter early in his career. The UCLA product logged just a 29.3% clip from beyond the arc in his first three seasons once he earned starting minutes in 2017-18.

This year's been a different story: Anderson's putting up a career-high 4.3 attempts per game after never averaging more than 1.3, and he's knocking them down at a personal-best 37.9%. The 27-year-old, who recently drilled all three of his shots from downtown in a win against the Kings, is on a blistering 9-of-14 streak over the last three and should continue his torrid pace against the Pelicans.

Anderson figures to draw Zion Williamson as a defender, which spells good news for the former's three-point outlook. Versatile forwards have given Williamson fits over his year-plus in the Association, especially around the perimeter where it gets less clogged.

The market expects north of 230 points in this one, and Anderson should be responsible for a good chunk of the damage.

Zion Williamson over 24.5 points

It's not an all-around terrible matchup for Williamson. His defense might be a moot point in this track meet, but he'll have an opportunity to wreak havoc offensively.

The Duke product has been as good as advertised in Year 2, averaging 24.4 points per game. The majority of his production has come near the cup, as he leads all players in paint points. Williamson also recently went 14-of-14 from that area against the Mavericks.

The Grizzlies have had no answer down low lately. The team has surrendered a whopping 57.3 points in the paint over the last three - the third-most in the NBA over that span.

I'd be surprised if Williamson doesn't hang a crooked number.

Nikola Jokic under 1.5 made threes

Jokic has been unstoppable this campaign. The star center, who's nearly averaging a triple-double, is coming fresh off putting one up in a signature blowout win over the Lakers. There aren't many bad matchups for the Nuggets' cog, but perhaps the Celtics can give him some fits, particularly around the perimeter.

Boston allows the fifth-fewest threes per game to centers. Jokic, who connects at a 38.3% clip, already played two teams this year ranking in the top-five of that department - the Cavaliers and Clippers - and went just a combined 1-for-4 from downtown. Oddly, he didn't even attempt a three against Cleveland.

There won't be enough volume for Joker to get multiple triples.

Fred VanVleet over 20.5 points

VanVleet has somewhat cooled off following a sizzling stretch that started with a 54-point outburst against the Magic to open the month of February. The guard only took nine shots in a loss against the Celtics, then went 8-of-21 from the field versus the Timberwolves. Despite VanVleet and the Raptors' tough matchup on paper, this is a nice spot to buy low.

The Bucks rank just No. 13 in defensive rating and No. 9 in field-goal percentage allowed after pacing the NBA in both last season. The club also surrenders over three triples per game to point guards, giving VanVleet and Co. a chance to get back on track following back-to-back losses.
