Heat down 8 players vs. 76ers due to COVID-19 protocols
The Miami Heat will be significantly shorthanded for their upcoming game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Miami listed eight players - Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Goran Dragic, Avery Bradley, Mo Harkless, Kendrick Nunn, Udonis Haslem, and KZ Okpala - as out for Tuesday's contest due to the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols.
Additionally, Meyers Leonard is questionable with a shoulder injury. Kelly Olynyk and Gabe Vincent are both listed as probable with respective groin and knee ailments.
The Heat were unable to dress the league-required minimum of eight players for their most recent tilt against the Boston Celtics on Sunday because of contact tracing. If any two of Leonard, Olynyk, or Vincent are unable to suit up versus Philadelphia, Miami will once again not reach that eight-player requirement.
There have been four games postponed so far this season, after both Monday's meeting between the New Orleans Pelicans and Dallas Mavericks and Tuesday's contest between the Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls were pushed back.
