LeBron after Giannis' extension: 'It's great that he's staying there'
LeBron James is happy one of the league's biggest stars is staying with the Milwaukee Bucks.
"They tried to build something great for him and obviously they did enough to keep him there," James said when asked about Giannis Antetokounmpo's historic super-max extension, according to Lakers Daily's Ryan Ward. "I think it's great that he's staying there, he's committed to that franchise, and that's what it's all about."
After months of deliberation, Antetokounmpo decided to secure long-term stability in Milwaukee by signing a five-year, $228-million extension. The deal is the largest contract in league history.
James also recently elected to stay with his current team, signing a two-year, $85-million deal with the defending-champion Los Angeles Lakers earlier this month.
