DeRozan confirms incident with home intruder: 'I've been through worse'
DeMar DeRozan recently confirmed all is well with him and his family after a face-to-face encounter with a home intruder last month in his Los Angeles residence.
"Everything is good. I grew up in Compton, California, I've been through worse," DeRozan said on Saturday, according to Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News.
The incident, which was first reported by TMZ, occurred Nov. 19. DeRozan was forced to chase away an intruder after the man broke into his home and went upstairs into one of his children's play areas.
After initially fleeing the scene, the intruder later returned to the gated community where the San Antonio Spurs guard resides before police were called. The man - who apparently intended to break into Kylie Jenner's home instead of DeRozan's - was charged with one count of felony burglary and issued a restraining order.
