Report: G League considering optional bubble in Atlanta

The G League has discussed the possibility of a bubble based in Atlanta for its coming season, sources told The New York Times' Marc Stein.
The event would reportedly be optional and cost around $500,000 per team. Not all G League squads - both direct NBA team affiliates and independent teams such as the Ignite - would be expected to take part.
It's unclear whether the bubble would serve as a tournament-style event or represent a significant portion of the developmental circuit's 2020-21 season.
Both the NBA and G League went on hiatus on March 11 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The majority of NBA teams resumed play in the Orlando-based bubble in July, but the remainder of the G League season was canceled outright.
