The Atlanta Hawks are signing point guard Rajon Rondo to a two-year, $15-million contract, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports.

Rondo occupied a reserve role for the Los Angeles Lakers last season. He averaged 7.1 points, five assists, and three rebounds across 48 regular-season games. He was especially effective in the Lakers' championship-clinching victory over the Miami Heat this past October, contributing 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting off the bench.

The floor general is the latest signing for a Hawks team that's adjusted its roster with veteran additions since free agency opened. Atlanta reportedly agreed on a three-year contract with sharpshooting swingman Danilo Gallinari on Friday, then added fellow point guard Kris Dunn on a two-year deal.

Atlanta will be Rondo's seventh NBA team. The 34-year-old enjoyed his most dominant stretch in the league while a member of the Boston Celtics, the organization he spent the first nine seasons of his career with.
