The Detroit Pistons are signing free agent Jerami Grant to a three-year, $60-million contract, The Athletic's Shams Charania reports.
Grant was a steady contributor in his first season with the Denver Nuggets. The forward averaged 12 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 26.6 minutes per game operating primarily out of a bench role.
Denver offered Grant the same amount of money to re-sign but the forward opted for Detroit to occupy a larger offensive role, The Athletic's Sam Amick reports.
The 26-year-old is the latest in the Pistons' growing list of free-agent signings aimed at bolstering their frontcourt. Detroit reportedly agreed to terms with Jahlil Okafor as well as Mason Plumlee, Grant's former teammate on the Nuggets.
