Forward Danilo Gallinari is finalizing a three-year, $61.5-million contract with the Atlanta Hawks, his agent told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

That money is the most handed out as part of a multi-year deal for a player who's 30-plus years old without an All-Star appearance, Wojnarowski adds.

The 32-year-old is joining a Hawks team that's eyeing its first playoff berth since 2017. The Italian figures to provide veteran experience on a young, up-and-coming roster that star point guard Trae Young headlines.

Gallinari was a key contributor during the Oklahoma City Thunder's 2019-20 season that ended in a surprise playoff appearance, averaging 18.7 points and 5.2 rebounds. His 40.5% mark on 3-pointers led the team.
