Pelicans select Elijah Hughes with No. 39 pick

The New Orleans Pelicans have selected Syracuse swingman Elijah Hughes with the No. 39 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

Hughes, who turns 23 in March, averaged 16.3 points per game for the Orange over the last two seasons after transferring from East Carolina. He was named first-team All-ACC last season.
