Report: Nashville emerges as candidate to host Raptors in 2020-21
Nashville has emerged as a candidate to host home games for the Raptors should pandemic-related travel restrictions impact the team's ability to play in Toronto, a source told The Athletic's Adam Vingan.
Team officials reportedly visited the city this week.
Nashville's Bridgestone Arena has previously hosted high-level basketball competition, including the SEC men's basketball tournament six times since 2010. The facility currently houses the NHL's Nashville Predators.
Tampa Bay and Kansas City, Missouri, are also reportedly on the Raptors' list for possible temporary homes, per Vingan.
The Vancouver Grizzlies relocated to Memphis in 2001. Now, it appears the Grizzlies' fellow 1995 expansion team could follow suit - at least on a temporary basis.
