The Milwaukee Bucks are interested in Sacramento Kings restricted free agent Bogdan Bogdanovic and have weighed the possibility of also acquiring Harrison Barnes as part of a deal for the Serbian forward, sources told ESPN's Zach Lowe.
With an expensive veteran core in place, the Bucks have limited means of adding top free-agent talent. To acquire Bogdanovic, Milwaukee would have to orchestrate a sign-and-trade deal, sending considerable salary back to Sacramento to balance the deal.
It's not clear whether Milwaukee's front office has talked to the Kings' brass regarding such a deal, according to Lowe.
Bogdanovic, 28, has averaged 13.5 points, 3.5 assists, 3.2 rebounds, and a steal with 37.4% 3-point shooting across three NBA seasons to date.
Barnes, also 28, has averaged 13.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists with 37.5% 3-point shooting since entering the league in 2012. He is owed $22.2 million for 2020-21, $20.3 million for 2021-22, and $18.4 million in 2022-23.
