The New Orleans Pelicans are openly discussing Jrue Holiday in trade talks, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Several contending teams are interested, according to Charania. The Denver Nuggets reportedly inquired about the 30-year-old guard's availability in recent weeks.
The two-time All-Defensive team selection is coming off another strong season in New Orleans. He averaged 19.1 points, 6.7 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.6 steals in 61 starts.
Holiday will earn $25.4 million during the 2020-21 campaign. He'll then have the opportunity to exercise a $26.3-million player option for 2021-22 or test the market as an unrestricted free agent.
New Orleans finished last season with a 30-42 record and placed 13th in the Western Conference.
