Trump: LeBron is 'a hater'
President Donald Trump took aim at LeBron James once again, criticizing the Los Angeles Lakers star's character Friday during an appearance on "The Rush Limbaugh Show."
"LeBron is a spokesman for the Democratic Party. A very nasty spokesman," Trump said. "Because, again, I've done so much for the Black community. ... He's a great basketball player, but people don't wanna see a guy that way. They don't want to see that.
"We have enough difficulty during the week, you don't wanna sit down, watch a basketball game, and then watch somebody that hates your guts, OK. And he's a hater."
Trump has attacked James in the past, questioning his intelligence following James' interview with CNN's Don Lemon in 2018.
The president went on to criticize the NBA's television ratings and the league's initiatives aimed at promoting the Black Lives Matter movement, which he referred to as "a Marxist organization."
