Steve Nash's arrival in Brooklyn has Kevin Durant excited for what's ahead.

The Brooklyn Nets star shared his thoughts about the team's new head coach on The Players' Tribune's "Text Message Talk Show" with former NBA player Dorell Wright.

"I'm excited about Coach Nash … I think he's gonna build a fun culture in Brooklyn ... having a former player walk the sidelines is always dope to see," Durant wrote.

Nash joined the Nets last month on a reported four-year deal, marking his first NBA coaching job. Nets general manager Sean Marks said Durant and Kyrie Irving "wanted a great communicator" as head coach, which Durant also emphasized during his conversation with Wright.

"He's a brilliant basketball mind, but on top of that he's a great communicator," Durant said. "Everything he did on the court was efficient, so hopefully he brings that mentality to our team."
