Report: Dragic suffers plantar tear in foot, could return in Finals
Miami Heat guard Goran Dragic suffered a plantar tear in his left foot during Game 1 of the NBA Finals, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Dragic has been able to put pressure on his foot and hasn't ruled out returning later in the series, Wojnarowski adds.
The 34-year-old suffered the injury during the first half. He initially came out with his team for the third quarter but later returned to the locker room.
Dragic might have suffered the injury when he stepped on Los Angeles Lakers point guard Rajon Rondo's foot, ESPN's Rachel Nichols reports.
He entered the Finals averaging an impressive 20.9 points 4.7 assists, and 4.2 rebounds through 15 postseason contests.
Bam Adebayo also exited Game 1 with a left shoulder strain. He underwent X-rays, which came back negative. The center appeared to suffer the injury while going for a rebound in the third quarter.
Adebayo intends to play in Game 2 on Friday, The Associated Press' Tim Reynolds reports.
