Report: House's status for Rockets in jeopardy after possible violation
Houston Rockets swingman Danuel House Jr.'s playing status is in jeopardy for the remainder of the Western Conference semifinals as the NBA probes a potential violation of bubble protocol, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Tim MacMahon.
House didn't leave the league's Walt Disney World Resort campus, according to ESPN, but the league is looking into his activity within the team hotel. He has denied any wrongdoing.
House was scratched from Tuesday's Game 3 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers due to personal reasons. He has also been listed as out for Thursday's Game 4, but the NBA and NBPA are reportedly discussing the matter. The league is believed to be considering whether House could be subjected to a 10-day quarantine period.
The undrafted 27-year-old has made his mark the last two seasons as part of the Rockets' small-ball approach. House has averaged 11.4 points on 36% 3-point shooting in this year's playoffs.
