Former Houston Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni and current Los Angeles Clippers assistant Tyronn Lue remain the top candidates for the Philadelphia 76ers' head coaching vacancy, league sources told the New York Times' Marc Stein.

The pair are reportedly at the top of Philadelphia's list after Billy Donovan was named head coach of the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday. The 76ers fired Brett Brown on Aug. 24 after seven years on the job.

D'Antoni worked under Brown with the team during the 2015-16 season. He parted ways with the Rockets on Sept. 13 after four years.

Lue spent the past season with the Clippers after being fired by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2018. He coached the Cavs to the 2016 NBA championship.
