Paul George of the Los Angeles Clippers took aim Thursday at apparent haters.
George didn't elaborate on what slight he was referencing. The forward had a particularly rough outing in Wednesday's Game 2 loss to the Dallas Mavericks, shooting 4-of-17 - including 2-for-10 from three - with just 14 points.
"It's a marathon," George said after the game, according to The Athletic's Jovan Buha. "The team we’re playing is not a bad team. It's a good team, a good matchup. We battled all year long, counting the regular season. This makes no difference. We expect a tough matchup. We expect a tough challenge. But the good thing about it is we’re up for the challenge."
