Toronto Raptors shooting guard Terence Davis was arrested after he allegedly slapped his girlfriend and broke her phone in New York City on Tuesday, the New York Police Department confirmed.

The 23-year-old faces seven charges, according to documents TSN's Rick Westhead obtained. The charges include two counts of third-degree assault, one count of attempted assault in the third degree, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

Davis has entered a plea of not guilty, his lawyer, Gregory Esposito, told Westhead. He is due in court Dec. 11.

The Raptors are aware of the matter and are gathering more information, according to The Athletic's Blake Murphy.

The undrafted guard out of Ole Miss was selected to the NBA's All-Rookie second team in September.
