Miami Heat All-Star Bam Adebayo admits he doesn't always feel physically prepared for the rigors of the NBA season after testing positive for COVID-19 weeks ago.
"Mentally, I feel like I'm ready. Physically, my body says otherwise sometimes," the center said Friday, according to the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson and Anthony Chiang.
Adebayo, who previously said he wasn't experiencing any symptoms following his diagnosis, was one of three Heat players to test positive for COVID-19 along with Kendrick Nunn and Derrick Jones Jr.
The 22-year-old big man is enjoying a breakout season with Miami, averaging 16.1 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 5.1 assists in 69 games.
