Houston Rockets forward Bruno Caboclo inadvertently broke quarantine and will now be restricted to his hotel room for an additional eight days, ESPN's Tim Bontemps reports.

Caboclo left his room during the Rockets' initial 48-hour quarantine period upon arriving in Florida, despite the league making players and staff aware of strict health and safety protocols ahead of time. He'll now be subjected to enhanced coronavirus testing, including a more invasive deep nasal swab procedure.

The 24-year-old will be allowed to resume team activities after his eight-day self-quarantine period ends.

Caboclo, who played limited minutes in five appearances with Houston this season, becomes the first player to reportedly violate quarantine inside the league's bubble setup.
