With unrest unfolding across the United States in the wake of the George Floyd killing, most NBA teams have released statements on the matter.
In their own statement Monday, the Memphis Grizzlies announced the creation of a new category of paid time off for employees to use for voting in local and federal elections.
"Our staff will never have to make a decision between voting or incurring a financial loss," the Grizzlies' statement read.
Protests escalated Sunday night in Memphis, with property damage and arrests reported.
