Well, it's been barely two months since February's All-Star Weekend in Chicago, and it appears Aaron Gordon is still feeling some type of way about falling short of the Slam Dunk Contest crown. The Orlando Magic forward dropped a (mostly light-hearted) rap track Monday, taking aim at his detractors - especially Dwyane Wade.
Wade's decision to score Gordon's final dunk as a nine out of 10 effectively handed the contest to Wade's former Miami Heat teammate, Derrick Jones Jr. Gordon had to match Jones' total score of 48 out of 50.
According to Los Angeles Sparks star Candace Parker and rapper Common, who served as two of the other judges, the panel had attempted to keep the scores tied during the dunk-off in order to put the overall contest title to a final deciding vote.
Instead, Gordon earned a score of 47 for his dunk over 7-foot-5 Boston Celtics rookie Tacko Fall, and Jones took the title outright.
Wade explained earlier in April that he felt a nine was a fair score because Gordon didn't fully clear Fall on the leap.
For his part, Wade thinks Gordon should lean into this new branding opportunity:
