Indiana Pacers general manager Chad Buchanan will not pursue the Chicago Bulls' top basketball operations position, league sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Buchanan has been the Pacers general manager since 2017 when he took over for Kevin Pritchard, who was promoted to the role of president of basketball operations following Larry Bird's resignation that same year.

The Bulls are reportedly making significant changes to their front-office structure, which includes long-time vice president of basketball operations and former player John Paxson transitioning into an advisory role. General manager Gar Forman's future is unclear.

Toronto Raptors general manager Bobby Webster, Miami Heat vice president of basketball operations Adam Simon, and Denver Nuggets general manager Arturas Karnisovas are all still in consideration for the role with the Bulls, according to Charania.
