Doris Burke tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in March, the longtime basketball analyst told her ESPN colleague Adrian Wojnarowski on Friday's episode of "The Woj Pod."

"I mean, let's just start with the headline, which is I did test positive for COVID-19," Burke said. "And basically my first symptoms, looking back on it now, Adrian, (occurred) March 11, which was the day I was broadcasting (the) Denver (Nuggets) at Dallas (Mavericks), which was obviously the moment when (Utah Jazz center) Rudy Gobert had tested positive, which set off the ensuing series of events."

Burke said she is now symptom-free.

She first began experiencing symptoms - extraordinary fatigue and a pounding headache - at a lunch meeting with broadcast partner Ryan Ruocco and producer Ian Gruca. After several days of bed rest and at the behest of an extended family member who works in the medical industry, Burke underwent testing at a Philadelphia hospital on March 17.

"I started to believe - even though my symptoms did not line up with the typical symptoms - I believed, given the nature of my profession, the number of people I encounter, that I did, in fact, have exposure to the virus," Burke explained, adding that doctors continue to learn more about the symptoms of the disease caused by the coronavirus on a daily basis.
