Raptors set new franchise record with 46-point win over Pacers
The Toronto Raptors kept the good times rolling Sunday.
Toronto's 127-81 win over the Indiana Pacers marked the franchise's largest margin of victory.
The Raptors' 46-point blowout eclipsed the previous record, which was a 44-point win over the Atlanta Hawks during the 2016-17 campaign. It also marked the fourth time in franchise history that Toronto has beaten a team by at least 40 points.
Raptors' largest single-game margins of victory:
Rank | Date | Opponent | Margin of victory |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Feb. 23 2020 | Pacers | 46 |
2 | Dec. 3 2016 | Hawks | 44 |
3 | Mar. 19 2008 | Heat | 42 |
4 | Nov. 21 2014 | Bucks | 42 |
Raptors head coach Nick Nurse made some history, too, by reaching 100 career wins in the second-fewest games among active head coaches (139). Golden State Warriors bench boss Steve Kerr took just 117 contests to secure his 100th career win, which stands as the NBA record.
Kyle Lowry registered 16 points and 11 assists for his sixth straight double-double, while Pascal Siakam contributed a team-high 21 points in the contest.
The red-hot Raptors enter Tuesday's matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks with wins in 17 of their last 18 games.
