David Stern's life was celebrated at a memorial service at New York City's Radio City Music Hall on Tuesday, three weeks after the former NBA commissioner died of complications stemming from a brain hemorrhage.
New York Knicks owner James Dolan, whose company owns Radio City Music Hall, covered the expenses for the memorial service, according to Ian Begley of SNY. The Knicks also canceled practice to attend.

Others on hand to pay their respects to Stern included current NBA commissioner Adam Silver, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and coaches and executives from the league's 30 teams.
