Frederic Weis, the 7-foot-2 French basketball player who Vince Carter posterized at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia, has an interesting proposal for this year's NBA Slam Dunk contest.

Weis took to Twitter to suggest that he and Carter recreate the "Dunk of Death" during the contest.

The iconic moment occurred during a preliminary-round matchup between the United States and France. The two countries would meet again in the gold-medal game, which the U.S. won.

Weis isn't the only person who would like to see Carter in the dunk contest during his final NBA season. Teammate Trae Young is also petitioning for the 42-year-old to participate.
