Davis says he won't compete in dunk contest: 'That's not me'
Los Angeles Lakers big man Anthony Davis currently ranks among the league leaders in dunks.
However, Davis isn't too fond of the idea of participating in the Slam Dunk Contest over All-Star Weekend.
"That's not me," Davis said when asked about partaking in the event, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
"In-game dunker only. The stuff I see Dwight (Howard) do and all these other guys - Zach LaVine - I can't do that. No," Davis continued.
While the 26-year-old is unlikely to throw down his own jaw-dropping slams come Feb. 15, the All-NBA talent says he's willing to lend a helping hand to Howard.
"I might go out there and help him (Howard) with something if he wants me to do something," Davis said. "I actually thought about it when I heard he's going to do it. But me actually participating myself, it probably won't happen," Davis added.
Howard - who won the dunk contest in 2008 - is reportedly set to take part in the competition for the first time in over a decade.
