The NBA fined Sacramento Kings center Dewayne Dedmon $50,000 for "public statements detrimental to the NBA and its teams," the league announced Thursday.

Dedmon publicly requested a trade from the Kings last weekend, saying, "I haven't been playing, so I would like to go somewhere where my talents are appreciated."

The 30-year-old signed a three-year, $40-million contract with the Kings this past offseason but has been a DNP-CD in 11 of Sacramento's last 13 games.

Anthony Davis was fined $50,000 last season when his agent, Rich Paul, publicly confirmed his request to leave the New Orleans Pelicans.
