Atlanta Hawks wing Vince Carter officially became the fifth player in NBA history to appear in 1,500 regular-season games, checking in at the 6:03 mark of the first quarter against the Miami Heat Tuesday night.

The 42-year-old is the fifth player to reach the milestone, joining John Stockton (1,504), former Dallas Mavericks teammate Dirk Nowitzki (1,522), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (1,560), and all-time leader Robert Parish (1,611).

Here's a breakdown of the eight teams Carter has played with over the years:

Games Team Years
403 Raptors 1998-04
374 Nets 2004-09
97 Magic 2009-10
51 Suns 2010-11
223 Mavericks 2011-14
199 Grizzlies 2014-17
58 Kings 2017-18
95 Hawks 2018-

Carter quickly demonstrated why he's stuck around for so long, taking 28-year-old Heat big man Kelly Olynyk to school with a pull-up three.
