Philadelphia 76ers point forward Ben Simmons will likely miss the team's next three games due to a Grade 1 AC joint sprain in his right shoulder, Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes reports.

The 2019 All-Star suffered the injury in Wednesday's tilt against the Utah Jazz. Prior to that game, Simmons had averaged 15 points, 7.7 assists, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.3 steals through the 76ers' first six games.

Philadelphia's upcoming schedule includes a road game against the Denver Nuggets on Friday, a home contest versus the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday, then another home game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday. Should Simmons miss them all, it would mark the first time that the Australian has sat out three straight games.

The 76ers currently boast a 5-2 record, tied with the Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors for third best in the Eastern Conference.
