Heat's Nunn joins exclusive group with 100 points in first 5 games

Miami Heat undrafted rookie Kendrick Nunn has been turning heads during his first week in the NBA.

On Thursday, Nunn became the first player since Kevin Durant in 2007 to score 100 points in his initial five career games, according to ESPN. He also set the NBA draft-era record for the most points scored by an undrafted player over their first five games.

Nunn dropped 28 points - his third 20-plus outing this season - on 67% shooting in a 106-97 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday. He now leads the Heat in scoring this campaign at 22.4 points per contest and is shooting 48.3% from deep.

Nunn signed with Miami in April after spending most of last season with the Golden State Warriors' G League affiliate.
