Embiid says he's 'maybe' done talking trash
Joel Embiid wants to let his play do the talking this season.
The Philadelphia 76ers big man made it known on the latest episode of "The Lowe Post" podcast with ESPN's Zach Lowe that he's done talking trash to his opponents. He isn't making any promises, though.
"I'm not talking trash ever again. Allegedly. Maybe. I don't know," Embiid said. "I'm done with all that. I just want to play basketball. That's what I'm saying now, but we're gonna see if I can hold up (to it)."
It appears Embiid is also done trolling opponents on social media.
"The best way to talk trash is to dominate," he said. "When you dominate them and you talk some more and then after the game you go on social media and talk some more, that's really hurtful. Sometimes I feel bad for them. That's why I had to stop."
Embiid and the Sixers open the preseason Tuesday night against the Chinese Basketball League's Guangzhou Loong Lions.
