Ten years after his dunk on LeBron James, which later went viral, former NBA guard Jordan Crawford says he's still waiting on money from Nike.
Crawford, then a sophomore at Xavier, dunked on James during a pickup game at the LeBron James Skills Academy in Ohio in 2009. Tapes of the dunk were confiscated by a Nike representative, but another angle eventually made its way online.
In a recent interview with Ryan Jones of Uproxx, Crawford recalled Nike representatives joking before the game that any player who dunked on James would get $500.
"They never gave me my $500," Crawford laughed.
Crawford said he still often gets asked about the dunk, and that it's something he's grown more comfortable talking about over the years.
"It's pretty much a once-a-week type thing," he said. "People I know, people that recognize me, on the internet, all that. The first couple of years, I used to be like, 'Nah, that ain't me,' but now I accept it. Every time something happens - it could video of Rihanna falling down on stage or something - somebody jokes about 'delete the video.'"
